Cherish Francis
Client Service Manager
Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Cherish was raised on the Nekaneet First Nation, nestled in the beautiful Cypress Hills, in southwest Saskatchewan. Cherish is an honours graduate of Lethbridge College’s Communications Arts Program majoring in Broadcasting.
Cherish’s outgoing personality and great interpersonal skills allowed her to work as a video journalist and anchor for CTV News Prince Albert, CTV News Calgary and APTN National News. Cherish’s media expertise allowed her to transition into the communications field seamlessly. She then became the Communications Specialist for the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations (FSIN) and the Director of Communications for the File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council (FHQTC) in southern Saskatchewan.
Cherish’s media and communications background provided her with the experience and knowledge to develop and customize Communication, Media Relation and Social Media Policies for FHQTC and numerous First Nations in Saskatchewan. Along with developing policies, she established capacity in the 11 FHQTC First Nations communities to effectively communicate with there on reserve and off reserve membership. Cherish brings extensive knowledge in the communications field.
